Red Sunrise

A drawing for the bi-weekly art group I'm a part of.  I chose colored pencils for this picture so that I could practice blending and mixing colors with this less familiar medium.

Laura, sometimes it is very difficult to blend complementary colors together (as in this sky) without getting grey. A trick I use is sky blue pink...take your orange (salmon) (warm) & feather it into a pink (cool) and THEN into the blue (cool) and any neutrals will be always be avoided. j
