Next time you set up for a still such as this, walk around the objects to see how the shadows can contribute by adding more depth (diagonally) and compositionally. That will add a counter-shift which makes the painting more dynamic. When the shadows are located directly behind the subject your image loses the potential for that added depth. Excellent job with the complementary colors.
