Mad Scientist

Conte pastel on pastel paper
18"x25"

A fun assignment with the Life Drawing class.  We were able to pick our own medium for this assignment; I chose to use a limited pallet of orange/pink, white, and green on a black page.  The drawing uses the dark of the page and also shows the impact of using complimentary colors.

*8/27/15 - 9/07/15 - This painting is currently available for viewing at the Great New York State Fair in Syracuse, New York.

Granddaughters

Colored pencil on drawing paper (matted)
11"x14"

A special project I put together for my grandma's 85th birthday - a drawing of her two granddaughters when we were younger.

The Chef

We had a free day in our Life Drawing class to experiment with different mediums using the model.  Here is a sneak peek of the drawings I did.  I still have a few finishing touches to do on the color one at some point.
